15/08/2010 - Disappointing and Problematic Start to European Championship

Wayne has had a somewhat disappointing and problematic start to the 2010 UIM European F:125 championship. At the first round held at Mora, Sweden he was suffering from a lack a pace and finished in 11th position (Wayne's worst finish in a European event). At the second round held at Bitterfeld, Germany it was technical problems that caused Wayne to have a disappointing result of 8th position. Wayne is currently placed 8th in the championship.

22/06/2010 - Damage Limitation for Wayne at Round 1 of National Championship

For Wayne to keep in the running for the National Outboard Championship he borrowed Barry's O:350 outfit for round one as his own boat was still in Italy being repaired. This meant Wayne was competing against far newer and more competitive machinery and could only manage fourth position.

15/06/2010 - Wayne Crashes Out of World Championship

In has qualification race Wayne and another competitor had a collision on the exit of the first turn. This put a small hole in the side of Wayne's boat which was quickly patched for the race restart. However as the race went on the water pressure removed the patch and increased the size of the hole, causing the boat to take on water forcing Wayne to stop as the boat was about to sink. This meant Wayne's weekend was over as there was insufficient time to make a satisfactory repair to the boat. The boat is now in Italy being repaired.

11/05/2010 - European Championship Round 1 - Postponed

The first round of the UIM European F:125 championship has been postponed due to increased water levels in the river Po. It is planned for this event to be rescheduled for later in the year.

03/05/2010 - First National Event Cancelled

Round one of the RYA National Outboard Hydroplane championship was cancelled due to the strong winds and blustery conditions present on both days. It is planned for this round to be rescheduled for later in the year. This has put Wayne at a slight disadvantage as this was the last opportunity he had to test some new parts before the first round of the European championship at Boretto, Italy on the 15th/16th May.

08/11/2009 - New National Speed Record for Wayne

At this years annual speed records week held at Coniston Water Wayne increased the National O:125 speed record to 83.41mph, just 0.9mph slower than the current World record.

29/09/2009 - Wayne is British Champion

By finishing in second place at the final round of the championship Wayne won the RYA National Outboard Championship by a single point. This is the third year in a row Wayne has been champion.

08/09/2009 - Podium at Final European Round

At the fourth and final round of the F:125 European Championship Wayne finished in 3rd place. This result moved Wayne up to 5th in the final championship standings. Henryk Synoracki was crowned F:125 European Champion, with Erko Aabrams second and Lembit Aaslav-Kaasik third.

02/09/2009 - Mixed Fortunes in Italy

Wayne suffered some engine problems and finished in 7th position in the third round of the European F:125 championship held in Auronzo, Italy. This result moves Wayne up to joint 6th position in the championship.

13/08/2009 - 4th in Germany

Wayne finished in 4th position in the second round of the European F:125 championship held in Bitterfeld, Germany. This was despite having a broken exhaust in the fourth race. This moves Wayne up to equal 7th in the championship. The third and fourth rounds of the championship are both in Italy. Round three is in Auronzo on the 29th-30th August and Round 4 is one week later in Boretto on the 5th-6th September.

29/07/2009 - Problematic stat to Championship

Wayne made a couple of driver errors at the first round of he F:125 European Championship and finished in a disappointing 10th position. The second round of the championship is in Bitterfeld Germany on the 7th-9th August.

14/07/2009 - Wayne finishes 5th in the World

Wayne finished in 5th position in the World Championship despite only taking delivery of a new VRP engine the day before the competition started. Wayne's next international race is the first round of the European Championship held in Mora Sweden on the 24th/25th July.

15/06/2009 - Wayne takes Championship Lead

At the second round of the RYA National Outboard Championship Wayne finished in third position. This result now moves him into the lead of the championship.

31/05/2009 - Wayne Finishes Second in Opening Round of National Championship

At the first round of the RYA Nation Outboard Hydroplane Championship Wayne finished in second place.

31/05/2009 - Boretto Rescheduled

Round 1 of the European F:125 championship was to be held in Boretto, Italy (9th - 10th May) but had to be cancelled due to the river being in flood. This event has been rescheduled to the 5th - 6th of September and will now be the fourth and final round of the series. This now makes Mora, Sweden (24th - 26th July) the first round of the series.

12/08/2008 - Problems in Germany

At the fourth and final round UIM European F:125 Championship held in Bitterfeld, Germany Wayne finished in a disappointing ninth position due to a combination of bad weather and mechanical problems. This result meant Wayne finished fourth overall in the championship.

30/07/2008 - Podium Finish in Sweden

At the third round of the UIM European F:125 Championship held in Mora, Sweden Wayne finished in third position. This result means Wayne is now joint third in the championship standings.

06/07/2008 - Podium in Poland

At the second round of the UIM European F:125 Championship held in Mysliboz, Poland Wayne finished in second position, which moves him up to fourth in the championship standings. This is Wayne's third podium finish at the Mysliborz circuit in a row (3rd '06, 1st '07, 2nd '08).

18/05/2008 - Problems for Wayne in Italy

Wayne's performance at the first round of the UIM European F:125 Championship was hampered by engine problems. He finished in 8th position.

18/05/2008 - Wayne gets National Campaign of to a Winning Start

Wayne wins Round One of the RYA National Outboard Hydroplane Championship with a lap record breaking performance.

2007

10/10/2007 - Problems for Wayne at World Championship

At the 2007 F:125 World Championship held in Znin, Poland Wayne suffered from a broken propeller and a collision in his qualifying race. Wayne finished in 7th.

30/09/2007 - Wayne Secures National Title with Second Place

Wayne finished in second place in the third and final round of the RYA National Outboard Hydroplane Championship. This result means that Wayne has won the championship. This is the first time Wayne has won the title in four years of trying.

27/09/2007 - Wayne Finishes European Championship with Medal

At the final round of the UIM European F:125 Championship Wayne finished in fifth place. This result meant Wayne has finished in bronze medal position. The championship was won by Salvatore Chiuri.

15/08/2007 - Fourth Place Despite Crash

At the third round of the UIM F:125 European Championship held in Bitterfeld, Germany Wayne finished in fourth place despite crashing out of one race. This maintains Wayne’s second place in the championship with one round left.

10/07/2007 - World Championships Cancelled because of bad Weather

The 2007 UIM O:125 World Championships held in Znin, Poland were abandoned do to high winds and rough water conditions without any of the competitors having chance to take to the water. It is planned for the event to be rescheduled for the 6th and 7th of October at the same venue.

24/06/2007 - Maximum Points Win for Wayne

Wayne has won Round 2 of the UIM European F:125 Championship with a maximum 1200 points and a race to spare! Wayne qualified in 2nd position and went on to win the first three races. This is Wayne's best result at international level, and hopes to repeat this performance in the World Championships in two weekend's time. This win moves Wayne in to second in the championship.

10/05/2007 - Podium Finish for Wayne in Italy

At the first round of the UIM European F:125 Championship held at Sacca di Colorno in Italy, Wayne finished in third position

Wayne finished in a respectable fourth place in the 2006 UIM F:125 World Championship held in Auronzo Italy

15/08/2006 - Second European Podium for Wayne

In the fourth round of the UIM European F-125 Championship Wayne again finished in third place

18/07/2006 - Wayne to miss Estonia and Sweden

Wayne will not be competing in the Estonian and Swedish rounds of the European F:125 Championship. This is because he is currently recovering from a collapsed lung. This is a disappointment as he stood a very good chance of a podium finish if not a win. Wayne hopes to be fit again for the fourth and final round of the European championship held in Bitterfeld Germany on the 11th - 13th August. This will be in preparation for the World Championships a fortnight later in Auronzo Italy
